Highlights: Partner with team members from global locations - more than 50 manufacturing locations worldwide. Intern/Co-op opportunities can lead to full time careers. Real World Responsibilities: Developing new and improve current materials processes with regards to layout, work sequence, time studies, fixtures/tools/equipment, and material flow. Support Receiving/Shipping/Outside Materials/Replacement Parts with technical issues and work closely with front line Team Members and Manufacturing Engineers. Work on various projects & requirements to develop skills in Manufacturing. These projects will be spread throughout the categories of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale. Use root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation in a group setting to assist with Safety concerns or Quality defects. Brainstorm within groups of Manufacturing Engineers & Production Supervisors to improve everyday tasks/processes. Provide support and analysis for special projects as assigned such as large-scale Kaizen activities, process flows, capital expenditures for equipment/machinery, Safety initiatives, facility move projects, etc. As part of our team we will: Provide you with real-world assignments that will provide you with valuable experience as you begin your career. Requirements: Pursuing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects at one time Attention to detail and accuracy MS Office experience Excel, Word, PowerPoint Teachable, and willing / able to teach others Ability to work in a fast paced & changing environment Able to work individually and in a team environment Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Understanding of JIT, Lean thinking, 5S principals, and Single Piece Flow. CAD experience in SolidWorks, Draftsight, AutoCAD, or OnShape. Facility planning and layout experience partnered with material flow. The salary range for this position is between $22 and $26 per hour.
