Environmental Engineer (onsite) – Jacksonville, FL
Our client, a growing team in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their dynamic group focused on Environmental Remediation. This company specializes in Soil Remediation, Groundwater Remediation, Oil Spill Cleanup, Hazardous Waste Site Remediation, PFAS, and more. With a national footprint of approximately 200 employees and 50 based in the Jacksonville office, this team is known for its strong culture and focus on team building, including quarterly chili and brownie competitions, kickball teams, and other activities.

environmental engineering projects
from conception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Provide
technical guidance , interpreting data and resolving complex engineering issues. Conduct evaluations of
environmental remediation technologies , prepare cost estimates, and develop detailed designs, drawings, and specifications. Oversee the preparation of
technical reports, data analysis, and remediation assessments . Develop and maintain comprehensive
project documentation
and detailed plans to track progress. Manage
changes in project scope, schedule, and costs , and ensure effective communication with clients and project stakeholders. Design, test, and implement
remediation systems , including air sparging and soil vapor extraction. Supervise
field activities , including contractor oversight and system installation. Support
environmental construction activities , including trenching, piping, and site restoration. Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, or chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Licensure:
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Additional certifications like LEED or CEM are a plus. Experience:
5–10 years of expertise in
environmental remediation
and consulting. Knowledge of
environmental laws, regulations, and standards . Proven experience with the
design, construction, and operation of remediation systems .
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in engineering calculations, drawings, and permit applications. Familiarity with conducting pilot tests and managing remediation systems.
Other Requirements:
Valid U.S. driver’s license. Ability to pass a
pre-employment drug screening
and background check.
Preferred Qualifications Degree in
Environmental Engineering
is highly desirable. Certifications such as
PMP
(Project Management Professional) or
CHMM
(Certified Hazardous Materials Manager). Experience engaging with
regulatory agencies
and their technical teams (state, local, and federal).
