Position Specific Description Employee will be part of the Strategic Initiative finance team with a focus on developing and running models, querying data and performing analyses related to financial and business-related process. Required skills include advanced abilities to comprehend, analyze, frame and resolve analytical issues and distill them into simple to understand analysis for management decision making, communicating and presenting the key points regarding the data, and providing expertise and support to other NextEra departments. We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to help with our digital transformation. Experience with Alteryx and/or RPA is highly desirable. The Accounting and Financial Operations team is responsible for developing and implementing high-quality, innovative solutions for to improve financial operations, processes and employee experiences. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Provide functional expertise on projects to ensure timely and effective project execution Assist with planning, design, configuration/development, testing, and production release of projects which typically involve and impact multiple business areas Interact with a team of business representatives or liaisons to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements, coordinate testing, and perform change management Work closely with development teams both onshore and offshore providing detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines as well as development work Plan and manage assigned work activities, complete projects on time and on budget following Agile development methodology Possesses a strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus Establishes and manages effective customer relationships with users of business, financial and operations systems as well as technical team members Applies advanced analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units Responds to requests, identifies conflicts, and make recommendations where needed Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and can analyze and determine failure points in the solution Contributes to the application testing process directly and in support of end users Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate for selected project framework Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications
