Role overview As the Fiber Platform Leader, you will serve as technical strategist and team leader for Fiber within Family Care Research & Engineering (R&E). You will provide technical leadership and champion the technical vision in the design, development, optimization, and commercialization of alternative/new fiber and process capabilities across the Family Care Professional machine asset base and technologies. This role will also play an important role in setting the strategic vision for technical knowledge capability building in fibers of the future and focus Kimberly-Clark Family Care and Professionals efforts on meeting and exceeding our sustainability goals. You will serve as direct team leader to a group of dedicated project, process and product scientists responsible for executing our critical fiber projects. In this role, you will: Conceive, develop, validate, translate and share consumer, environmental and sustainability focused needs into short, medium and long term fiber based solutions leading to new or improved products, supply chain, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve Family Cares business results. Support and lead Lean management practices through Lean thinking and work methods (visual management, problem solving, strategy deployment). Implement strategies to protect novel technology solutions to sustain identified advantage in market. Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark. Prepare and implement unit budgets and schedules. Implement appropriate internal controls and standards. Implement the documentation and report of unit work as required by Kimberly-Clark policy, effective communication, protection of proprietary information, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Protect and defend Kimberly-Clark proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets. Communicate appropriately with all customers, internal and external, conducting all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity and honesty to build an unimpeachable business reputation. Provide leadership by example in corporate safety, quality, regulatory, product safety and sustainability. Ensure that all elements of the corporate Human Resources Development and Diversity policy are fully supported.
