Full Time and Permanent Position
Summary: A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for managing patient appointments and conducting routine examinations to ensure optimal health outcomes. Key responsibilities include discussing healthy lifestyle choices, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate medical records.
Essential Functions: The Nurse Practitioner will conduct duties within their area of certification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing primary care to patients Performing initial examinations, including physical assessments and patient observations Setting up and monitoring medical equipment Ordering and administering diagnostic tests Communicating test results to patients and their families Recording patient medical histories Operating and maintaining medical equipment
Additional Responsibilities: Supervising Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Medical Assistants. May also oversee Residents and interns.
Age-Related Competencies: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to address age-specific patient needs relevant to this role.
Information Management: Maintains confidentiality and security of all information and data within the scope of the position. Risk Management/Quality Management/Safety: Actively participates in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety initiatives and investigations.
Minimum Position Qualifications: Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required Work Experience: Relevant experience in assigned specialty area Training: Clinical experience in specialty area License/Certification: Board Certified in designated specialty
Environmental Conditions: Work environment includes daily patient contact, which may involve exposure to blood or other body fluids.
