Part-Time Nanny/Housekeeper – San Jose, CA
A professional and family in San Jose, CA are seeking a warm, engaging, and reliable part-time nanny/housekeeper to support their household and care for three children, ages 3, 1, and a newborn. The role involves working alongside mom to help keep the home and daily routines running smoothly.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate:
$30–$40/hour , based on experience
Payroll or cash payment (nanny’s preference)
Standard full-time benefits offered if schedule expands to 40 hours per week, including: 2 weeks paid vacation (one week of the family’s choosing, one week of the nanny’s)
3–5 personal/sick days
All major holidays paid & off
Healthcare stipend
Schedule Monday–Thursday
(with the possibility of adding Fridays to create a 40-hour schedule)
Times are flexible, to be finalized with the family
Key Responsibilities: Provide attentive and loving care for three children (ages 3, 1, and newborn)
Support daily routines, activities, and outings for the children
Assist mom in managing the household and family schedule
Perform light housekeeping and household organization related to children and shared family spaces
Help with meal prep, laundry, and general tidying as needed
Care for and be comfortable around the family dog
Qualifications: Must have prior professional childcare or nanny experience (infant and toddler experience strongly preferred)
Must be engaging, dependable, and proactive in supporting the family
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to the home and transport children as needed (no family car provided)
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
COVID vaccination status to be discussed with family
