Part-Time Data Analyst (Remote)

As a Data Analyst at Mimecast, youll play a key role in collecting, interpreting, and presenting data across different business functions. Your work will help teams make data-driven decisions with clarity and confidence. On a typical week, youll: Collect, clean, and validate datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency. Use tools like SQL, Excel, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to analyze trends and performance metrics. Build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs for business units such as product, marketing, sales, and customer success. Translate raw data into clear reports and visualizations that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvement. Provide ad-hoc analysis to support leadership decisions and ongoing projects. What Were Looking For
Were looking for a data enthusiast who enjoys problem-solving, storytelling with numbers, and delivering insights that matter. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and able to thrive in a remote, flexible work environment. 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence. Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.). Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbalfor presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.
