Job Responsibilities
Reports to ITS Application Manager, Enterprise Imaging. Provides application and technical information system support. Provides mentoring to other team members. Designs, analyzes, builds, tests, trains, and supports assigned applications. Identify application/process design issues or conflicts and assist with the resolution. On Call responsibilities as required. The Position will focus on Optimization Projects & system Upgrades. The Architect will work closely with our Radiology, Pathology, Heart & Vascular Institute as well as Informatics Team. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Experience:
Five-plus years of related experience in healthcare ITS is preferred. Five-plus years experience with PACS/VNA doing technically complex build and testing. Similar experience with another vendors PACS will be considered as well. Experience with multiple ologies in the PACS environment (e.g. Radiology, Cardiology, Pathology, NeuroOphthalmology) is preferred. Experience integrating PACS with other applications (e.g. Epic, Powerscribe, Dose Registries, other 3rd party imaging applications). Experience with image exchange between multiple systems (e.g. Ambra, PowerShare, lifeImage, Medcom, etc.). Strong understanding of deploying applications on a variety of platforms (e.g. VDI, Citrix). Experience with HL/7 messaging and interface engines (e.g. CorePoint, Mirth). Project Management experience, specifically implementing and deploying PACS and PACS-related applications. Experience building workflow diagrams using Visio and/or similar applications. Experience collaborating with technical staff, including Storage Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Network Engineering teams. Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and the ability to coordinate all required resources to produce a successful solution. Experience monitoring and projecting system requirements that take into account future growth of the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements: Work experience may substitute for minimum education requirement. Due to sensitive security and financial responsibilities, must successfully pass Credit/Financial screenings. Working knowledge of state and federal health care information technology laws and regulations. Working knowledge of general information technology policies and procedures. Ability to multi-task. Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers, and various software packages. Ability to problem-solve. Analytical skills. Project management skills. Conflict resolution skills. Presentation skills. Prioritization skills. Process improvement and quality skills. Interpersonal skills. Organization skills. Ability to train others.
