American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures and ACLS/BLS certification. Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital cath lab with a Magnet and Level III Trauma designation Adult cardiac patient population with procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP, temporary pacemaker, PA line insertion, and left/right heart catheterizations Responsible for hemodynamic monitoring, room circulation, EKG lead placement, access site prep, scrub procedures, and vascular closure systems 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with on-call approximately one day per week and every 4th-5th weekend Float as needed within scope, including possible float to affiliate hospitals Uses Excellian/Epic chartingEpic experience required Scrubs are provided by the unit Parking is available at a flat rate Team structure includes multidisciplinary support in a teaching hospital environment Pre-start modules are required and compensated Travelers must be able to complete fingerprinting per Minnesota requirements prior to start Float to affiliate hospitals may be required per operational needs Return staff must have a break of at least one year from their last shift as a perm employee RTO restrictions applyideally no more than 5 days requested Candidates living within 100 miles are eligible as this is a radiology position Allina does not provide references post-assignment or for former permanent employees Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Experience required in cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, dysrhythmia interpretation, left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, scrub procedures, and temporary pacemaker management Proficient in accurate monitoring, equipment setup, performing EKG lead placement, maintaining sterile field, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias Experience with Excellian/Epic EMR required First-time travelers accepted with minimum of 2 years cath lab experience scrubbing and monitoring Pending state license accepted; MN license must be obtained if requiredlicense required if applicable Benefits
