Job Summary: Join our team as a Class B Delivery Driver, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and outstanding customer service. As a driver, you'll be responsible for running daily routes, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at each stop along the assigned route. You will also navigate a cross-dock model by picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck at the end of your route. This position may require occasional assistance with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Responsibilities: Efficiently run delivery routes, meeting or exceeding designated timelines. Unload products from the trailer, utilizing hand carts as necessary, and place items in designated customer storage areas, even in challenging weather conditions. Lift, push, and move products weighing between 1-75 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. Verify item delivery with customers and obtain signatures; report discrepancies in invoices and communicate any errors/returns promptly. Address customer complaints professionally and efficiently. Maintain company equipment appropriately, adhere to driver safety rules, and perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Experience: At least one year of route delivery experience or a relevant background driving a straight truck. Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B (Class A preferred). Ability to read and converse in English to interact with the public, understand traffic signals and respond to inquiries. Skills: Capable of operating a vehicle in varying traffic and weather conditions. Ability to meet or exceed the company's productivity standards. Strong customer relations and problem resolution skills. Independent work organization without direct supervision. Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures. Ongoing inter-department communication related to routing, safety, and customer relations. Proficient communication skills, along with basic arithmetic abilities (experience in handling money preferred). Proven adaptability and ability to build trust with customers. Other Information: Frequent lifting of products, with maximum lifting capabilities up to 80 lbs. Must be comfortable climbing on and off the truck. Frequent movements including bending, squatting, and lifting. Ability to work in confined spaces.
