Title: Senior Manager, Enterprise Architecture Location: Katy, TX 77449 (ONSITE) Duration: Direct Hire Compensation: $200K - $220K per year Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. (sponsorship available if needed) Job Profile Summary : The Senior Enterprise Architect Manager leads a team of solution architects & enterprise architects to define and implement the organization's strategic technology roadmap. This role ensures alignment between IT architecture and business goals, drives innovation, and enforces architectural governance. As a people manager, the role emphasizes team development, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. Job Description Lead and manage a team of architects across multiple domains Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and roadmaps Align IT architecture with business strategy and transformation initiatives Oversee architectural governance and ensure compliance with internal and external standards Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption Collaborate with business and IT leaders to guide major initiatives and investments Support modernization efforts including cloud migration, legacy system integration, and data architecture Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights Drive continuous improvement and innovation within architecture practice Mentor team members and support career development and succession planning
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (required) Master degree in Information Technology (preferred) Certification in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus
Work Experiences
Minimum 10 years of experience leading an enterprise architecture role At least 3 years in a leadership or people management capacity Proven track record of delivering enterprise-wide architecture strategies Experience working in large, complex organizations with cross-functional teams Having deep and extensive expertise across the entire retail ecosystem, with a focus on digital, in-store operations, merchandising, supply chain management, and marketing
Skills
Possess comprehensive expertise in the retail domain, with a deep understanding of its core functions: Digital, Stores, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Marketing. Strategic thinking and business acumen Deep understanding of architecture frameworks and methodologies Strong leadership and team development capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Knowledge of cybersecurity, Network & Infrastructure, data governance, and integration patterns (Kafka, ESB, RESTAPI, Google Big Query, Data Stage etc.). Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and digital transformation practices
Responsibilities
Manage and develop a high-performing team of enterprise architects Define and enforce architectural standards and governance processes Align architecture strategy with business goals and IT capabilities Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance on major technology decisions Partner with business units to understand needs and translate them into architectural solutions Monitor industry trends and assess their impact on enterprise architecture Ensure architecture supports scalability, security, and operational efficiency Drive adoption of best practices and continuous improvement
