SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer

(Night Shift)

that will provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. RESPONSIBILITIES Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons

Work with Project Manager for fee payments or recurring permit expenses

Develop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report

Manage, create, and distribute contract documents

Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondence

Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase

Manage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program

Manage submittals

Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders

Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of field engineers

Other duties as assigned, including: Determine alternative work methods as needed

Coordinate safety and compliance for all team member

Maintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completion

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of two years related construction experience

Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks

Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices

Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills

Current drivers license

Working hours for the night shift required are from 6 PM to 6 AM, 4 days on and 4 days off

The base pay range for this role is $82,000 - $110,700. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR 10%, Washington, D.C. 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.

Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days.
