Responsibilities Position is in a short-term acute care, teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma center Work in the MRI department with both inpatient and outpatient, ER, NICU, adult ICU, and community hospital populations Shifts are 4x10s, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a rotating day off during the week One Saturday per month and one holiday per rotation may be required as needed No on-call required Clinician may float within the hospital and service line as needed, but not to sister facilities Uses Siemens MRI scanners including Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida EPIC is the EMR used throughout the facility and experience is preferred Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility Duties include operating Siemens MRI equipment and handling a diverse patient population in a high-volume, academic Level 1 trauma environment Black scrubs are required Monthly parking passes available for $68 per month No local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius First-time travelers are accepted No more than 7 days of requested time off are allowed per 13-week contract and no time off during the first week of orientation Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler Travelers may stay up to 12 months and must take a 6-month break after the assignment Facial hair must allow for fit testing; shaving may be required for mask fit compliance Facility does not accept medical marijuana cards Requirements 1 year minimum MRI technologist experience required Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required BLS certification required Experience with Siemens MRI scanners required Ability to perform IV starts and use PACS preferred Preferred experience: abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, MIP, MRP, Perfusion, Peripheral MR, spectroscopy, spin echo, surface coils, T-1/T-2 weighted images Experience with adult and neonatal ICU, trauma, and teaching hospital settings preferred Must be able to work two out of the three software systems used at the facility Valid state license required if applicable EPIC charting experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-609379.
