Senior Systems Security Engineer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate)
to support our Naval Aviation acquisition programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a major ACAT developmental program. The MIL Corporation provides a full range of engineering services including cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, penetration testing, reverse engineering, and support of the NAVAIR Red Team, among others. The position is based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland. This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days onsite, and is eligible for a Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule may change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequences of compromise. Conduct analysis and modeling on proposed architectures. Document protective architectures. Develop and support contractual requirements for developmental programs. Evaluate weapon system architectures for compliance with protection standards. Coordinate with various agencies to ensure system protection requirements are met. Assist the Navy V&V team with system design assessments. Support risk management, mitigation, and reporting. Communicate effectively across technical teams. Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member providing SSE expertise. Travel 10-15% to other sites as needed. Required Qualifications At least ten (10) years of experience in systems engineering, including security engineering. Knowledge in designing and testing solutions for complex systems. Experience with systems engineering methods in weapon systems development. Knowledge of systems engineering, SSE, and cybersecurity related to weapon systems. Understanding of systems engineering processes and DoD systems acquisition lifecycle. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of model-based systems engineering and digital engineering. Experience in AT systems engineering and DoD acquisitions is highly desired. Masters degree in a related scientific or technical discipline. Education BA/BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field from an accredited institution. Clearance Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain Top-Secret/SCI clearance. Clearance process considers financial background. Compensation Range is $170,000 - $210,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
