Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
ISD Lead
to drive the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning solutions. This role will lead a team of Instructional Designers and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project managers, and other stakeholders to create impactful, engaging, and scalable learning experiences that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end instructional design process, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
Manage a team of instructional designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and quality assurance oversight.
Conduct learning needs assessments and audience analysis to inform design strategy.
Develop and maintain instructional design standards, templates, and processes.
Collaborate with SMEs, content owners, and business leaders to identify learning objectives and performance outcomes.
Design and develop engaging, learner-centric materials, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), job aids, and blended learning programs.
Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs using learning analytics, feedback, and performance metrics (e.g., Kirkpatrick’s Model).
Ensure accessibility, DEI considerations, and compliance with learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
Stay up-to-date with emerging learning technologies, trends, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field.
6+ years of experience in instructional design, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
Proficient with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a corporate training environment or regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, finance, government).
Familiarity with agile or rapid development approaches.
Certification in instructional design or project management (e.g., CPLP/ CPTD, PMP, ATD).
