Who we are: EOI Space is developing and deploying a network of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to provide ultra-high-resolution Earth imagery.

We aim to deliver timely and actionable data for commercial and defense applications. We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that thrives on challenges, takes ownership, and collaborates deeply. EOI Space is looking for an ADCS/GNC Engineer with a strong background in spacecraft flight dynamics and experience supporting attitude determination and control systems and guidance, navigation, and control system subsystem development.

What you will do: This role will contribute to the development of our spacecraft design and operations. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from conops development and simulation frameworks to the implementation of production algorithms. You will also support hands-on hardware testing and integration. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality Earth imagery from space.

Responsibilities: Support the design, development, and validation of ADCS and GNC algorithms for an Earth-observing satellite in VLEO

Implement and test control solutions for spacecraft attitude stabilization, pointing, slewing, and orbit maintenance

Develop and maintain models and simulations of the ADCS system, including environmental and sensor/actuator dynamics

Contribute to the development of estimation algorithms (e.g., EKF) using IMUs, star trackers, sun sensors, and magnetometers

Participate in ADCS hardware selection and trade studies in collaboration with senior team members

Work with software, AIT, and mission operations teams to support integration and testing using HIL and testbeds; work hands-on with ADCS hardware to characterize and verify its performance

Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and verification planning

Support flight operations and post-launch analysis and tuning of ADCS and GNC systems

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

4+ years of relevant experience in spacecraft development, with at least one year of satellite-specific work, preferably including operations support

Experience with control system design and estimation techniques for ADCS and GNC

Hands-on experience with simulation tools and environments (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, C++)

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $120,000-$170,000 per year, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.

Work Location: This is an onsite role to be located in Louisville, CO.
