We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a receptionist in the tourism industry, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role involves tasks such as answering phones, greeting and directing visitors, and responding to inquiries. This position will require a strong attention to detail and excellent computer skills. Free parking is provided for this position! Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements. Responsibilities include operating switchboards and handling 10-30 lines of phone calls, greeting and directing visitors in a friendly manner, answering inquiries from customers or the public, providing relevant information, and using Microsoft Word and Excel for various administrative tasks. Additionally, the role requires providing exceptional customer service at all times, generating reports as required, managing email correspondence in a timely manner, maintaining a typing speed under 45 WPM to ensure efficient communication, being reliable and maintaining punctuality to ensure smooth operation of the front desk, and presenting a welcoming and positive demeanor, representing the company's aloha spirit. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist role or similar position, proficiency in handling switchboard phones with 10-30 lines, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, proven customer service skills and experience, ability to generate reports as required, typing speed should be under 45 words per minute, excellent email correspondence skills, high school diploma or equivalent level of education, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and manage time effectively, attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, and embraces the "Aloha Spirit!".
