This position is responsible for assisting the membership with TruWest product, service and account information. Responsibilities include assisting with branch opening and closing duties, teller duties, opening new accounts and deposit products, and loan processing. Responsibilities include verifying information on deposit applications; approving/declining applications for service while ensuring compliance with credit union policy and procedures. Effectively manages existing members and book of business to support retention and growth of member relationships through sales of deposit and loan products, and referrals to investment and mortgage products. Monitor daily activity, compile and provide statistical reports on a consistent basis, including month-end reporting. Investigate and handle error resolution, maintain and balance a cash drawer and balance negotiable instruments daily. Present a professional image at all times and maintain a flexible schedule. Provide spontaneous service excellence to members, employees and business associates; demonstrate the TruService Philosophy and the values on the TruWest Vision, Mission Values card. Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Experience : Minimum of one year Teller II or similar related sales experience at a financial institution. Knowledge and Skills : Strong sales and referral abilities; advanced knowledge of TruWest products, services and account requirements to identify cross-selling opportunities; knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and basic lending regulations. Strong math skills, attention to detail, and intermediate to advanced computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with little supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner. Professional appearance and demeanor. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Identify members' financial needs through profiling and promote appropriate products and services to maximize cross-sale opportunities and meet TruService survey goals. Perform all Teller related duties and actively manage lobby traffic with personalized, professional service. Use the lobby management app (Lobby Tracker) and process product/service/loan applications for review. Open deposit accounts and originate/book loan products with required documentation per state and federal laws. Understand Business Accounts, IRAs and other special accounts; knowledge of Xpress Accounts and LoansPQ; follow up on loan queues and notes. Educate members about financial options and respond to their needs with suitable products/services. Perform Notary and Signature Guarantee duties as needed; adhere to all credit union policies and procedures. Conduct outbound sales calls and handle incoming member requests; build and manage a book of business with proactive sales opportunities. Process documents, checks and negotiables per procedures; understand electronic check processes and anti-fraud checks. Demonstrate and assist members with eServices, including on their own devices or branch PC/tablet. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with team and management; be willing to take on additional responsibilities. Maintain high energy and sales capability during each member contact. Handle member transactions efficiently and communicate professionally with members and coworkers. Utilize downtime productively and coordinate with other branches/departments.
