Veterinary Assistant
At Island Trees Veterinary Hospital offers an experienced veterinary team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care for our beloved patients. We actively partner with our clients to foster the human-animal bond through compassionate and affordable veterinary care from their pet's first adventure to milestones yet to come. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is a passionate pet lover and wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Experience as a veterinary assistant. Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Client communication and education. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and patient care. Safely handle and restrain animals; husbandry, cleaning, laundry, providing patient care as directed by the veterinarian. Handling lab samples and preparing for currier pick up. Medical charting, maintaining accurate patient records. Cross train as a client service representative. Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Pay range $16.50 to $20.00 based on experience. What Makes Us Different
