Position Summary
San Diego State University is seeking a Division Care Project Lead (Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt II) to lead and manage the Business & Financial Affairs Division Care (shared services) project team in providing financial and procure-to-pay support for campus-wide facilities and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Lead high-impact programs and initiatives; influence long-term planning and strategic objectives.
Advanced Data Analysis:
Analyze and interpret complex data to develop policies, procedures, and strategic solutions.
Advising : Serve as a technical advisor to departmental leadership; guide decisions with broad operational impact.
Process Innovation:
Drive business improvement efforts; develop new approaches to solve institutional challenges.
Cross-Unit Collaboration:
Maintain high-level relationships across the university and with external partners/agencies.
Program Oversight:
Manage day-to-day operations and provide lead direction to professional and/or technical staff.

Position Information
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
This position is eligible for telecommuting up to 2 days per week, following a training period during which on-site presence is required.
Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Key Qualifications
Experience creating and processing Purchase Requisitions in Oracle Financials.
Advanced experience with Smartsheet software
Education and experience in procurement, university operations, or project management.
Education and experience in public works procurements.
Extensive and in-depth knowledge in project management including research and analytical methodologies.
Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply extensive expertise to complex programs and/or administrative specialties, including pertinent laws and regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in and advanced knowledge of the principles, problems, and methods of public and business administration and operational and fiscal management.
Proficiency and skill in database management, word processing and spreadsheets using Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.

Compensation : CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,382 - $9,297 per month (Step 1 - Step 20). Step placement is based on qualifications and experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 13 ($8,094) for highly qualified candidates. Future increases are subject to contract negotiations.
