Electronic Manufacturing Engineer

As an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as the essential link between design and manufacturing teams, with a strong focus on enhancing design for manufacturability. Your expertise will drive the successful deployment and optimization of production lines for innovative products. Responsibilities include: Design and deploy production lines for new products. Support Manufacturing Engineering during initial production runs to validate product development. Participate in design reviews, providing input from an industrialization perspective. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost. Create initial production work instructions for generators and electrical control/conversion units using available manufacturing processes and tools. Design basic tooling and select optimal assembly methods as needed. Monitor supplier compliance with quality standards and contractual flow-downs. Validate Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) for delivered hardware. Approve First Article Inspections (FAIs). Troubleshoot production issues impacting delivery schedules, quality, and customer satisfaction. Provide industrialization support for process and product improvements. Represent manufacturing in new development programs to ensure manufacturability is considered from the outset. Support improvement initiatives, product transitions, and manufacturing transfers. Assist Supplier Quality during audits to verify work instructions align with drawing requirements. Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to establish efficient production process flows. Essential Skills include: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Manufacturing, Industrialization, or a related engineering discipline. Experience in aerospace manufacturing or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 3 years of design or manufacturing experience with aerospace or automotive products. Strong understanding of PCBs, electronics, and hardware; must be able to read PCB drawings and understand PCB manufacturing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications include: Experience with leaded components (aerospace/DoD). Familiarity with power electronics. Knowledge of heavy copper layer applications. Experience with medium to high voltage systems. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $33.17 - $41.83/hr.
