Our team blends technical expertise with outstanding customer service to deliver measurable results.Position: Commission-Based Power Consultant (Standby Generators)LocationRemote with in-person consultations and onsite team meetings (as needed)Flexible hours to accommodate customer schedules and disaster-preparedness planningCompensation100% Commission-Based (base salary not guaranteed)Competitive commission structure with uncapped earning potentialReimbursement for approved business development activitiesKey ResponsibilitiesProspects and cultivates new customer relationships for standby generator solutions across target segments (residential, small-to-mid commercial, and select industrial if aligned)Performs needs assessment to determine critical power requirements, runtime expectations, and reliability objectivesDesigns tailored standby generator solutions, including generator sizing, transfer switches, fuel type (natural gas, propane), and integration with existing electrical systemsDevelops compelling proposals, cost-benefit analyses, life-cycle cost of ownership, and risk assessments for outage scenariosCommunicates complex technical concepts in clear, non-technical language for homeowners, and facilities managersManages vendor coordination, permitting considerations, and commissioning timelines; facilitates smooth handoff to installation teamNegotiates terms, pricing, and service-level expectations; closes deals and ensures customer satisfactionMaintains a robust sales pipeline, forecasts accurately, and achieves monthly/quarterly targetsStays current on industry trends, codes, and incentives, related to standby generatorsProvides ongoing account management and opportunities for upsell (maintenance plans, monitoring, and remote start/stop solutions)What Were Looking ForProven track record in B2B or B2C sales with a focus on standby generators, electrical systems, or resilient power solutions (3+ years preferred)Knowledge of standby generator sizing, transfer switches, fuel considerations, code compliance and interconnection with critical loadsStrong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value and reliability outcomesExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilitiesSelf-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionNetworking within target industries (homebuilders, property managers, data centers, healthcare facilities) is a plusAbility to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectivelyProficiency with CRM tools (e.g., FieldPulse) and common productivity softwareRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)Valid drivers license and possession of a dependable vehicle for customer site visits and on-site assessments If youre ready to drive resilient power solutions with a results-driven team, wed love to meet you.
