Help Desk Specialist
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to support a long-term, fully funded Department of Defense (DoD) program through 2028. This position is based in Kansas City, MO, providing end-user desktop support for a large enterprise network within the Department of the Navy. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a secure environment and grow within the Intelligence Community. The position will initially operate on a night shift, with flexibility to transition to a preferred schedule after the initial period. Key Responsibilities for the Help Desk Specialist
Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other network-connected equipment Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and video teleconferencing Collaborate with end users and government personnel to resolve technical issues efficiently Support operations of the Enterprise Service Desk, including ticket management, script execution, and call handling Ensure service level goals are met through timely resolution and documentation Required Qualifications for Help Desk Specialist
Active Secret Clearance 1+ year of IT support experience CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+) Experience with troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and general IT support Compensation for Help Desk Specialist
Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000 Comprehensive Benefits Package: Paid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Holidays Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Sick Leave (as required by law)
