Our research teams evaluate programs, conduct community-based studies, and produce actionable insights on various justice issues, aiming to inform communities, policymakers, and practitioners. Policy & Assistance
We assist jurisdictions with reform efforts such as problem-solving courts, tribal justice, and reducing incarceration, through data analysis, strategic planning, and site visits. Support Team
Our support teams, comprising 15% of staff, ensure smooth operations across finance, legal, tech, HR, fundraising, and communications, providing essential infrastructure and solutions. The Opportunity
The RISE Project addresses gun and intimate partner violence. We seek a Coordinator for the Transformative Initiatives team to support the Respect First program for youth aged 13-21, focusing on healing, accountability, and positive change. The Coordinator will handle outreach, facilitation, case management, and resource coordination, reporting to the Senior Program Manager. Responsibilities
Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders in NYC; Participate in community meetings and events, including evenings and weekends; Conduct outreach and promote program visibility; Represent the program at local events; Facilitate workshops using the RISE curriculum; Provide case management and counseling; Support participants in developing personalized action plans; Offer trauma-informed support for participants experiencing harm; Lead outreach and enrollment efforts; Design and implement engagement and aftercare plans; Involve support networks and connect to services; Document services and participant data accurately; Prepare monthly reports on program metrics; Support other RISE initiatives as needed; Travel across NYC boroughs for program activities; Attend and assist with events, including evenings/weekends; Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Masters in social work or related field with 2+ years experience in IPV, community violence, or related areas. Licensure preferred. Must be a proactive, adaptable team player comfortable in interdisciplinary settings. Additional Preferred Qualifications include experience with transformative justice, case management, community engagement, working with youth aged 13-21, and bilingual English/Spanish skills. Full-time, in-person, MondayFriday, 10:00 am6:00 pm, with occasional evenings/weekends. Location: Bronx, NY. Compensation & Benefits
