The Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a dynamic and specialized eight-bed unit dedicated to the comprehensive treatment and management of a diverse range of trauma-related injuries. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff is committed to delivering superior, patient-centered care to every individual entrusted to our expertise. We prioritize a collaborative approach, featuring a dedicated team of experienced Trauma Surgeons who work in close partnership with our exceptional nursing staff. This integrated model ensures seamless communication, timely interventions, the highest possible compassionate and quality care, ultimately contributing to optimal patient outcomes and a supportive healing environment.

The Nurse Shift Manager role:

Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff, taking into consideration the patient's condition and the employee's skill level.

Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.

Anticipates staffing needs and moves proactively to respond to them.

Oversees stocking of supplies and updating patient records to ensure that the nursing floor is ready for subsequent shifts.

Job Requirements Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).

Minimum of two (2) years of clinical (critical care) experience as a Registered Nurse.

Current Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related healthcare field

Completion of Bachelors in nursing (BSN) or related field within 3 years of hire

Licensure:

Current CA RN licensure

Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association

Current AHA PALS or obtained within 6 months of hire

Current Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification or obtained within 12 months of hire.
