Facilities Technician - Greensboro, NC
In this position, you will be responsible for performing intermediate skilled duties in one or more of the following trade areas: electrical, plumbing, building automation, or heating and ventilation. A successful candidate will be able to assist in seasonal start up and shut down of HVAC systems to include centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, hot water boilers, heating and cooling closed loop systems, all fan coil units and motor controls through the Building Automation System, and should be familiar with electrical systems up to 480v and have knowledge of life safety equipment and procedures. Performing routine and non-routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activity for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building automation depending on area of expertise. Completing routine and non-routine tasks in capital projects for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building automation depending on area of expertise. Conducting intermediate break fix activity for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen, or building automation depending on area of expertise. Participating in on call rotation to respond to facilities related emergencies, equipment failures, and weather conditions during non-routine business hours. Performing tasks in accordance with national and local codes and standard trade practices. Troubleshooting and making necessary repairs in a timely manner. Promptly notifying management of safety issues or concerns. Supporting and promoting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. Delivering routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meeting deadlines appropriately. High School or GED (Minimum Required) 2 - 3 Years of proven experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, or general maintenance.
