A large Los Angeles healthcare system of hospitals, clinics, and primary care providers is looking to hire a
Sr. Citrix Engineer
for a 6-month contract. The role can be fully remote but must live within 50-100 miles of 90032. This range is provided by Odesus, Inc.. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more. Summary: The Citrix Engineer, Senior is expected to provide technical direction within the team and across the Information Systems department. Assists peers and mentors less experienced team members through the application and sharing of technical knowledge, guidance and direction. Synthesizes analysis, identifies root causes, develops and recommends key work products. Delivers technical solutions for Citrix services. Leads complex evaluation, development, implementation, integration and administration of internal and external business solutions. Provides insight to management on issues. Base pay range : $50.00/hr - $80.00/hr Responsibilities Delivers technical solutions for Citrix services and hosted applications and desktops. Provides recommendations to streamline the Citrix environment and mentors peers on best practice recommendations. Interfaces with end-users and application testers to validate and troubleshoot applications hosted on XenApp and/or VDI. Coordinates with IT staff, team members, vendors, and other key personnel to determine issues, needs, approach, solution, scheduling, and implementation. Synthesizes analysis, identifies root causes, develops and recommends key work products. Leads complex evaluation, development, implementation, integration and administration of internal and external business solutions. Provides insight to management on issues. Establishes and maintains testing and deployment methodologies for Information Systems. Applies IT production and change management methods to all areas of Information Systems. Designs and implements processes to establish and maintain an available computer systems operations environment. Works with other infrastructure and IT staff to maintain and support Citrix services and applications. Performs technical and data architectural analysis and planning of IT systems installations and upgrades. Leads/facilitates meetings and conducts presentations for technical and non-technical staff to encourage collaboration for technical initiatives. Leads/manages large and/or enterprise-wide IT projects involving participants from technical and business segments; develops and proposes architectural and infrastructural standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field required. In lieu of a bachelors degree, 10 years of relevant business support and/or information technology support experience are required. Minimum 6 years of relevant business support and/or information technology support experience. (In lieu of a bachelors degree, 10 years of relevant experience are required.) Must have working knowledge of designing, installing, maintaining and configuring Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS), and provisioning VMs in VMware ESX and/or Nutanix AHV. Hands-on expertise with Windows Server, XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Citrix MCS, and Nutanix AHV and/or VMware ESX. Demonstrated experience with Windows Server Operating System, XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, NetScaler, Active Directory and Citrix Group Policy, Citrix MCS, AHV and/or ESX hypervisors, and experience with system design, capacity planning and capacity management.

In addition to Citrix expertise, candidates must demonstrate broader endpoint engineering capabilities to support the full desktop and endpoint environment, including: SCCM and endpoint management skills PowerShell scripting related to desktop automation Power BI reporting Experience with SQL to create databases, queries, and perform simple database maintenance SCCM experience with application deployment and reporting Active Directory Group Policy management Experience with OS Customizations Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is a plus Experience with Citrix NetScaler load balancing is a plus
