Airbus is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Internship Program. These positions are designed to provide students the opportunity to enhance their theoretical foundation through practical experience focused in several areas of the aviation manufacturing industry. For the Industrial Engineering department at the Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site, there are positions available in the following categories: Industrial Engineering - Responsible for understanding disruptions on the production line and implementing technical solutions to ensure the disruption does not occur again. Also responsible for introducing new modifications on aircraft to the production line.
Process Performance Engineering - Responsible for preparing the in-station plan for when each job task will be completed within the Takt time
Over the course of our 10-12-week internship program, participants will have the opportunity to: Work directly with a mentor in their field of study while finding solutions to real world problems

Preferred Education: Working towards Bachelor's degree in one the following majors at least at Sophomore standing
Industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Preferred Experience: School projects in related fields
Travel Required: N/A Citizenship: US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license), Authorized to work in the US, Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship) Technical Systems Proficiency: Required: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
Physical Requirements: Onsite or remote: 100% Onsite
Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice, potentially internationally.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
