About the Job We’re seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to help architect, deploy, and manage robust infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premise environments. We are looking for an individual who will take ownership of our technology stack, proactively identify areas for improvement, and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team. This role is central to ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable, with a strong emphasis on automation, observability, and modern DevOps best practices.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to support containerized workloads, cloud-native services, and machine learning/chatbot deployments.
Deploy, manage, and scale applications in containers using tools like Docker and Kubernetes, both in the cloud and on-premise.
Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines using GitOps practices to ensure fast and reliable software releases.
Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Set up and maintain monitoring and logging tools to track system performance and quickly identify issues.
Build and support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines that help developers ship code with confidence.
Create and manage data pipelines that collect, clean, and transform data from APIs, websites, and databases.
Design infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and resilient, applying best practices for networking and cloud security.
Provide infrastructure support for applications involving machine learning or conversational AI.
What You’ll Bring
Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Solid understanding of networking and cloud security best practices.
Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including GKE in production environments.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps tools (Flux, Argo CD).
Deep knowledge of GCP services including VPCs, IAM, Compute Engine, and Cloud Storage.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with Git and GitHub workflows.
Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or Google Cloud Monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an early‑stage startup (team
Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience working with Nvidia GPUs and related systems‑level design.
Exposure to SQL or NoSQL database management.
Understanding of IT security best practices for cloud and container‑based systems.
Experience supporting ML/chatbot environments.
In‑Office Requirement Statement
We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we’re not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
This role will need to be in the office for in‑person collaboration 1 time a week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices Boise, Idaho or Baltimore, Maryland
