Customs Analyst job at staffingagency@unirvese.cloud. Detroit, MI. Functions: Gather and merge daily broker files and ACE data for reporting used by Finance. This includes pulling ACE data, confirming receipt of Bucklands data, pushing EXL data, uploading files to Teams, and eventually taking over from Finance on file mergers. Move to monthly reporting, focusing on the last two weeks of data to ensure completeness. Investigate duty spikes within specific weekly time frames for report meetings. Mine data for escalations and further investigation, focusing on HTS, part numbers, suppliers, FTA, duties paid, COO, etc. Handle data requests from Sales, Purchasing, and others, summarizing findings. Verify data accuracy and determine necessary actions like duty recovery, broker filing changes, or missing documentation. Manage multiple data sources, including broker spreadsheets, 7501 packages, certificates, etc. (This is labor-intensive.) Post-entry/duty recovery efforts: clear backlogs, monitor broker actions, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate investigations. Incorporate routine post-entry activities to address corrections/adjustments comprehensively. Track duty refunds and ensure proper allocation to G/L codes. Create periodic reports and presentations, e.g., weekly calls with PUR. Perform additional activities as identified. Requirements

5-10 years of import/export experience with global shipments. Strong knowledge of shipment/entry documentation and record keeping. Understanding of FTA/COO certificates and eligibility. Knowledge of classifications and tariffs; global experience a plus. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Power Query. Strong reporting, follow-up, and detail-oriented skills. Experience Required: Same as above: 5-10 years in import/export, documentation, FTA/COO, classifications, and tariffs. Education Required: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Customs certifications are a plus. Additional Information: Minimum 12-month contract, hybrid role with 4 days in-office, 1 remote day/week. Flexible shift timing. MUST HAVE Bachelors degree in relevant field. 5-10 years import/export experience. Knowledge of shipment documentation and record keeping. Understanding of FTA/COO certificates and eligibility. Knowledge of classifications/tariffs; global experience preferred. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Power Query.
