Job Summary

Utilizes multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Assists in the design, development and implementation of business solutions partnering with clients to identify analytical requirements. Compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods. Specific Responsibilities

Strategic Planning Partners with clients to define requirements based on business objectives. Administration Develop standardized templates, policies, and procedures for internal and external reporting. Designs and prepares documentation for qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Development Completes a variety of statistical analyses using appropriate data and software. Merges data from multiple sources in preparation for analysis. Interprets results of analyses for use in reports and presentations. Performance Completes data cleaning and organizes data files for analysis. Reviews data and identifies quality issues. Miscellaneous Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. AWS High Performance Computing (HPC) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) SQL/MySQL/Postgres HTML5 Python Shell scripting Data mining Data modeling Database design/ data structure Debugging Decision making Metadata creation and management Problem solving Troubleshooting Use-case analysis Code documentation Collaboration and teamwork Facilitate collaboration Iterative & incremental development Organizational skills Workflow development & documentation Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field. Practical experience applying programming skills to real-world problems. Experience with quantitative analysis, algorithm development, and statistics. Experience in theory and application of machine learning. Experience in software development, database maintenance, and high-performance computing. Experience with big data, particularly genomic data and/or bioinformatics. Preferred Competencies

Programming with Python or similar, R, and Bash scripting. Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting. Knowledge of development of online applications. Knowledge of or interest in biology, specifically immunology. Action oriented, willing to take practical action to deal with problems. Coachability, receptive to feedback and continuous improvement. Meets deadlines and multi-tasking capabilities. Organization and attention to detail. Target hiring range for this position will be between $56,782 and $79,850 per year. Offered salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. Benefits and Work-Life
