At VitalPath, a Senior Engineer leads the development of groundbreaking medical technology products and manufacturing processes. This crucial role demands a high level of technical expertise, experience and a passion for driving innovation in the medical device industry. Work Location/Schedule

This position requires the employee to be onsite at our VitalPath New Hope, MN location VitalPath does not offer relocation assistance for this position. Responsibilities

Product Innovation: Spearhead the research, ideation, and development of catheter or medical component designs that meet clinical standards and patient needs. Apply advanced engineering principles to create cutting-edge, effective, reliable, and innovative solutions. Design for Manufacturability: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to refine product designs, enabling efficient production flow and high yields. Design and specify equipment, tooling, and fixtures to optimize manufacturing processes. Conduct DOE and Gage R&R studies to achieve optimal process parameters. Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers, train support staff on manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. Documentation: Develop technical specifications, drawings, work instructions, test methods, and visual standards to ensure consistent and compliant product realization. Problem Solving: Work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of product design issues or nonconformances. Troubleshoot, refine designs, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Design Transfer: Facilitate transition of product designs to manufacturing by providing DFM input throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product commercialization. All other duties as required Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, biomedical, or other relevant Engineering required. Minimum 8 years working in a catheter or medical component development and manufacturing environment, with a focus on product and process design Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills A working knowledge of minimally invasive Medical Device design, development, and manufacturing processes. Working knowledge of process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) strategy Excellent working knowledge of GD&T and Solidworks Working knowledge of Minitab Experience with design controls, FDA regulations, GMP, GDP, and QMS requirements Must be able to work with a microscope and sit and/or stand for an extended period of time Must be able to lift 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Six Sigma Experience with lean manufacturing processes Experience in defining budgets and schedules for projects Experience with manufacturing and test fixture design Understanding of machining principles and processes Compensation Package

The salary range for this position is $107,250 - $143,000. The posted salary range complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as market conditions, level of experience and training, education, certifications, as well as internal and external equity. This position is eligible to earn an annual performance bonus based on meeting VitalPath’s bonus performance plan. Benefits
