Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Facilities Engineer / Specialist III
to provide technical oversight and support for engineering work performed internally and by contractors. This role ensures all facility projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The position also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and comment on engineering and design work to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards Lead and participate in
risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and critical operating parameter reviews Support and lead
incident investigations
(downtime, process safety-related) Identify and scope opportunities for facility improvement projects Perform risk assessments on new projects and existing facilities; track and close mitigation action items Lead
performance testing and plant trials
to optimize operations Develop operating guidelines for facilities and ensure best practices are followed Provide coaching and mentoring for colleagues and junior engineers Facilitate effective communication among teams to address engineering activities, progress, and issues Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
(or related discipline), or equivalent professional experience Extensive knowledge of
engineering design standards, specifications, safety codes, and regulatory requirements Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to drive safe and efficient operations Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluent in English, both technical and business communications
