We are seeking an experienced SolidWorks Design Engineering Manager to join our team. This role balances leadership with hands-on design work to advance hardware platforms with automation, robotics, and intelligent software systems aimed at increasing efficiency, safety, and scalability. Title: Solidworks Engineering Manager As a Solidworks Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in both management and hands-on development of our product designs. This role requires a balance of leadership skills and technical proficiency in SolidWorks, with a 50/50 split between managing the engineering team and contributing to design efforts. Responsibilities

Manage and create accurate 3D models and comprehensive 2D drawings of mechanical and electrical components and assemblies using SolidWorks. Lead a team of engineers to develop production-ready drawing packages, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop innovative design solutions and apply value engineering to existing designs. Coordinate and oversee work of project teams, including engineers, technicians, and other professionals. Ensure designs comply with engineering drawing standards (ISO/ANSI) and are tailored for manufacturability with complete tolerance schemes in SI units. Enhance and manage a revision control system to keep documentation current throughout the product lifecycle. Assign part numbers to facilitate organized inventory and project management. Leverage expertise in sheet metal design, electronic packaging, material selection, reliability assessment, mechanism design, instrumentation, and automation to elevate product performance. Develop electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wire harnesses to integrate mechanical and electrical components. Design test equipment and tools to support testing and validation. Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and specify component details for procurement and assembly. Conduct FEA analysis to ensure reliability and safety of designs. Prepare DFMEA and FMEA reports to identify and mitigate risks in design and manufacturing. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering fields. Minimum ten years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in a managerial role. Expert proficiency in SolidWorks (3D CAD, simulation, data management). Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles; familiarity with ISO/ANSI standards and tolerance analysis. Experience in sheet metal design, electronic packaging, mechanism design, and automation. Experience creating electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wire harnesses. Proven project management experience leading multidisciplinary teams from conception to completion. Experience with ERP/MRP systems; design for manufacturing is a plus. Strong skills in FEA analysis and DFMEA/FMEA reporting. Benefits
