The Convention Services Manager (CSM) reports to the Director of Sales. This role oversees all aspects of the details surrounding any group and/or events taking place in the hotel. You will work with the operations team to flawlessly set up events and provide best-in-class experiences for clients and planners. The CSM prepares and executes banquet event orders and resumes to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate all function details with clients and meeting planners, including space requirements, meeting times, equipment, menus, billing, and related items. You will develop trusting relationships with clients, vendors, planners, and hotel staff, and work with peers who value collaboration, humility, and open-mindedness. What You Will Do

Uphold and model the company values of People, Place and Character; ensure direct reports and the team reflect these values to drive collaboration and hospitality. Act as the liaison between the hotel and client/planner; review and detail client needs to ensure successful execution of programs including banquet orders, food & beverage, rooming lists, ground transportation, room service needs, group resumes, master billing, audiovisual, and package handling. Lead Resume & BEO meetings to coordinate with departments and update resumes for internal teams. Meet and greet clients and conduct pre-con or needs reviews with hotel stakeholders. Communicate with the team to ensure all details meet client expectations and are accurately represented to the hotel. Close out files by verifying billing against menus and contracts; coordinate with accounting on post-meeting adjustments and Delphi system billing. Problem solve with other departments to service the business and identify alternative options when space needs change. Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients and planners to create memorable experiences that meet stated or unstated needs. Review function space blocking to maximize client flow and revenue. Upsell events to achieve higher revenue; coordinate additional needs (AV, etc.). Contribute to annual competitive analysis of banquet costs, menus, F&B minimums, and meeting rental costs. Coordinate client site inspections and tastings for events post-contract. Ensure proper setup and implementation of events and meetings; proactively communicate with relevant departments. Empower staff to provide excellent service and anticipate guests needs; exercise sound judgment to create thoughtful experiences. Maintain focus on guest service, drive, and teamwork to achieve hotel goals. Curate and detail all on-property hotel events; meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Sales and/or General Manager to support successful operations. Position Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of hospitality experience in catering, convention, or event services within a boutique or luxury hotel Delphi FDC system knowledge is preferred but not required Flexibility to be present during evening or weekend events Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all hotel levels Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal) Experience in building local connections, developing business, and achieving sales targets Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) How You Lead
