Overview
Entry-Level Civil Engineer - Remediation
position within our Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia offices. 60% field and 40% office work, focusing on investigation engineering, engineering design, and construction management of environmental remediation projects. The role is targeted towards resident engineer, construction management, and design engineer opportunities, with field inspections, contractor oversight, and design work as part of the project lifecycle. This position is expected to begin Spring/Summer 2026. Responsibilities
Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks. Builds analytic and design skills. Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collaborates with the design team to create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision. Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Performs work in accordance with budget and schedule under supervision. Assists the Project Management team with management administration on small to moderate size projects, or portions of larger projects, following set guidelines for tasks. Attends meetings and reports on project tasks as needed. Field work in locations as appropriate (approximately 60%). Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field + 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. Valid US Driver's License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience related to civil engineering field work and study. Experience in construction or remediation projects preferred. EIT, EI or ability to obtain prior to starting the position. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Project preferred. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia. The selected candidate must be available to work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, or Virginia on a scheduled basis. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
