Position Summary The Corporate Partnerships Director is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-impact corporate relationships that advance Meals on Wheels America’s strategic priorities. With a primary focus on stewardship, strategic partnership, and shared impact, the Director will serve as a key liaison between the organization and its corporate partners, fostering alignment, deepening engagement, and ensuring long-term mutual benefit. This role oversees the successful execution of partnership activations across areas such as philanthropic giving, cause marketing, workplace engagement, and sponsorships from existing and prospective consumer facing brands, companies and corporate foundations. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally and engage local Meals on Wheels providers to help bring partnerships to life at the community level, reinforcing both partner impact and network benefit. While the primary emphasis is on nurturing and expanding existing relationships, the Director will also contribute to business development efforts by researching, identifying and advancing select new opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic, relationship-driven professional with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for creating partnerships that deliver measurable impact and mutual value. The position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships and is an Arlington, VA based, flexible hybrid working role. There is no weekly in-office requirement, however the ability to visit the office as needed is required. Duties and Responsibilities In partnership with the Sr. Director, leads the management and growth of new and existing corporate partnerships, ensuring strategic alignment, engagement, mutual value, and long-term sustainability. Leads strategic relationships for key corporate partners, providing high quality stewardship, responsive communication, and tailored support to each partner’s unique goals and needs, deepening engagement and maximizing impact. Collaborates cross-functionally with Membership, Marketing, and Strategy & Impact teams to develop and implement strategic partnership plans including campaign execution, employee engagement, cause marketing, and other collaborative initiatives. Drives retention and renewal efforts by proactively identifying opportunities to expand partnerships and cultivate deeper engagement aligned with partners’ social impact goals. Oversee the creation and delivery of impact reporting and performance metrics, ensuring partners clearly understand the outcomes and reach of their support. Supports forecasting and revenue tracking related to corporate partnerships, providing input for annual budgeting and financial planning. Works collaboratively with local Meals on Wheels providers to facilitate on-the-ground engagement opportunities and maintain strong relationships between corporate partners and community programs. Ensures timely execution of all partnership deliverables, managing project timelines, resource needs, and internal workflows to meet commitments and exceed expectations. Maintains up-to-date and accurate partner records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, contributing to data integrity and reporting capabilities. Tracks and analyzes key partnership metrics and presents regular updates to department leadership, supporting organizational decision-making and strategic planning. Supports team-wide efforts to identify, research and nurture warm leads, inbound opportunities, or referral-based opportunities, contributing to a healthy pipeline while keeping the primary focus on existing partner success. Qualifications or Skills Required Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of progressive experience in relationship management, account management, corporate fundraising, cause marketing, strategic partnerships, or business development within the nonprofit, CSR, or mission-driven sectors or 10+ years of related experience. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFRE) a plus. Demonstrated success in managing and growing high-value corporate relationships, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal. Strong understanding of the evolving expectations of corporate philanthropy and purpose-driven business. Broad experience in co-creating campaigns or initiatives with corporate partners, bringing creativity and a shared-value approach to partnership design. Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue and impact goals, with strong financial and strategic acumen. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives, internal teams, and community partners. Skilled in developing and delivering compelling presentations, proposals, and partnership materials tailored to various audiences. Proven ability to develop and manage impact reporting frameworks and performance metrics, with a strong focus on clear, data-driven analysis and communication to stakeholders and partners. Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset with a strong team orientation, and a track record of working effectively in cross-functional and virtual teams. Creative thinker and proactive problem-solver, able to identify and act on opportunities that advance strategic goals. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM and donor management systems (e.g., EveryAction, Salesforce) preferred.
