Key responsibilities will include: Review disbursement documentation to ensure accuracy of payments and that payees listed on invoices match those on the Closing Disclosure or Settlement Statement. Process and disburse checks and wires in accordance with lender closing instructions and internal procedures. Verify completeness of executed documents, especially notarizations and signatures, Assist in preparing title insurance policies for issuance, ensuring all financial data aligns with final closing figures. Utilize closing software systems (such as SoftPro) to manage the financial lifecycle of real estate transactions. from a compliance and funding perspective. Support attorneys and paralegals with financial aspects of closings, including final balancing and ledger reviews. Qualifications: Prior experience in escrow accounting, real estate law firm, or title/settlement company required. Strong understanding of real estate closings, title insurance, and escrow disbursements. Proficiency in closing software (SoftPro preferred) and trust accounting principles. High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment. Familiarity with title commitments, lien searches, and estoppel certificates is a plus. Preferred Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a real estate escrow or legal accounting role. Knowledge of state trust accounting compliance requirements. Experience handling multi-property or commercial real estate closings a plus.
