Position Title: Senior Compensation Analyst
Work Location: Deerfield IL
Assignment Duration: 06 Months
Position Summary:
As a Senior Compensation Analyst Contractor, you will provide expert-level support in designing, analyzing, and administering compensation programs that align with business objectives. This role is ideal for professionals with deep analytical skills and compensation strategy experience who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze market data to determine competitive compensation rates and practices
Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness, using survey data and analytics tools
Design and maintain compensation structures, salary bands, and incentive plans
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to advise on pay decisions and compensation strategy
Participate in compensation surveys and interpret results to inform pay practices
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
Support compensation-related projects such as M&A, reorganizations, or system implementations
Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data modeling and analysis
Run reports and audit data to support our annual compensation review cycle
Advise HR and business leaders on compensation-related decisions and policies
Support annual compensation review cycles, merit increases, and bonus programs
Collaborate with HRIS teams to ensure accurate compensation data in systems
Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on compensation trends and insights
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
5-7 years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR function
Global compensation experience preferred
Advanced Excel and HRIS proficiency; experience with tools like Workday, SAP, or Oracle
Strong understanding of compensation theory, practices, and legal compliance
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
Able to translate complex data into actionable insights
Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive information
