The MC Dean Critical Power department provides our customers with safe and effective maintenance and installation of UPS, battery, and other critical power equipment. This position requires an individual who is keen on learning new applications and capable of critical thinking, customer service, and problem solving as well as working independently after receiving adequate training. Learn and understand topics including critical power and battery systems, LOTO, safety, and troubleshooting. Installing battery systems, taking electrical readings, and testing continuity of circuits using appropriate equipment. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Generate tickets to ensure equipment maintenance and repair is completed in accordance with OEM standards. Travel up to 75% of the time. Qualifications
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Reliable transportation. Experience with a Microsoft Windows environment. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and workload. Strong oral and written skills. Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. Must have good working knowledge using smart devices (smart phones, tablets, ETC.) and comfortable using multiple web-based applications. Must be committed to excellence and generate high quality work. Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment. Desired / Advantageous Qualifications: Familiarity with customer service and satisfaction. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. Possesses good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
