NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital was among the first surgical teaching hospitals in the U.S., with a department founded by pioneering surgeon Lewis S. Pilcher, M.D.-also the founder of Annals of Surgery . Today, our General Surgery team continues this proud tradition with advanced and minimally invasive procedures across specialties including: Hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery Upper GI and small bowel disorders Gastric bypass and ERCP Vascular and robotic-assisted surgeries A wide range of laparoscopic procedures Physician Assistant - General Surgery
Schedule:
Full-Time, Days (Monday-Friday) No nights, weekends, or holiday coverage required
As a General Surgery PA, you'll be a key member of the inpatient surgical team, responsible for rounding with surgical attendings, writing progress notes and orders, performing bedside procedures, and coordinating patient care across disciplines. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical or critical care medicine Strong new graduates are encouraged to apply Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies Current NYS PA license NCCPA certification ACLS/BLS certification NYS Infection Control certification DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
