First Christian Church in Washington, MO is seeking a part-time Preschool Ministry Director. Our vision is ‘A compelling church for everyone’. And our mission is ‘To make followers of Jesus today’! At First Christian Church we make followers of Jesus by leading a compelling preschool ministry strategy that attracts and trains leaders who engage children to discover God, building the first foundation of faith, while partnering with parents. First Christian Church is a place where people can feel welcome, engage in life-giving community and meet Jesus. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God’s glory. Qualifications
Pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus and is a baptized follower of Jesus. Passion for the vision and mission of First Christian Church. A desire to lead and grow in the area of leadership. Be known as kind, approachable, and empathetic. Experience leading, working, or volunteering in a similar or a related field. Possess the leadership gifts necessary to make a collaborative vision happen through planning, team leadership, execution, and evaluation. Agreement with the FCC Statement of Beliefs
Belief Statement , and Staff Handbook. Submit and pass a background check. Responsibilities
Directing:
Implement and continuously innovate a strategy and structure for a safe, effective, and compelling preschool ministry for children (birth-5yrs) and their families.
Team Leadership
Effectively identify, inspire, train, and empower high-level ministry leadership to trusted passionate leaders over key areas.
Volunteer Culture:
Relentlessly pursues creating the best volunteer experience for all teams. Host Teams, Large Group Teams, Room Leaders, and Logistics Teams.
Volunteer Staffing:
Create the ideal volunteer roles, overseeing the recruitment and training needed to implement our ministry strategy to families and kids.
Program Leadership:
Ensure a system in which all resources like curriculum, supplies, and environments are prepared and implemented with excellence and ease.
Events:
Create and collaborate on seasonal events whether large or small that will be a part of implementing our ministry strategy.
Partner With Parents:
Effectively inform, connect, support, and incorporate a pathway for parents to be the most important spiritual influence in their child’s life.
Team Player:
Collaborate with staff on church-wide projects, and others as assigned by Lead or Executive Minister.

Reports To: Lead Minister Hours Part Time (20hr/wk) 10 hrs in office (Sundays & Tuesdays) 10 hrs flex To Apply
