Primary Responsibilities

Daily outbound and inbound follow-up with leads who express an interest in a Maymont home.

Assist prospective residents with scheduling a viewing and applying for a Maymont home.

Document follow-up with prospective residents in a proprietary database.

Process applications for prospective residents, including contacting applicants to gather documents, processing credit and background checks, and data entry in internal software.

Compile feedback from self-showings and conversations with prospects and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with local market leaders and others to address issues that arise while leasing a home.

Follow the terms of Fair Housing, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the American Disabilities Act, and other pertinent laws.

Represent Maymont Homes in a professional manner consistent with customer service values.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or Communications is preferred but not required.

4+ years of leasing experience

3+ years of multi-family and/or single-family rental home experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrable experience in single-family, multi-family, construction, or leasing industry

Effective negotiating skills

Knowledge of and experience with Rently preferred

Experience in Grass Roots Marketing

Knowledgeable on fair housing and local real estate laws

Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, depending on business need

Key Metrics & Responsibilities

Close a prospect promptly.

Outperform peer averages at each node of the sales funnel (lead to showing, showing to application, application to move in).

Outbound and inbound contacts.

Provide meaningful feedback and collaborate with local teams and centralized leaders.

High scores on customer satisfaction scores and secret shoppers.

Consistent achievement of monthly move-ins (e.g., at least 50 per month).

Data entry, approval, and procedural accuracy.

Maintain appropriate vacancy levels in assigned territories.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Ability to read small print with or without corrective lenses.

Clear English communication, including over the telephone.

Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and climb stairs if necessary.

Detail-oriented with good reasoning skills and the ability to interact with diverse individuals.

Finger dexterity for typing/keyboard use.
