Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Procurement Agent to join our Air Dominance Proprietary 1 Supply Chain team in Hazelwood, Missouri. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team focused on building next generation, state-of-the-art capability while also working to integrate program, customer and product, strategies into the procurement process, in an effort to drive successful execution of the Program. The individual will support supply chain strategy development while working to understand the inter-relationships between subcomponents of systems and plans as well as their overall impact on the Supply Chain and Program. Collaboration with Engineering, Finance, and other Program personnel will be required to support strategic initiatives, mitigate risk, identify process improvements, and engage in many other innovative activities in support of the Program. Position Responsibilities - Experienced Level 3:
Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies Position Responsibilities - Senior Level 4:
Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies This position is expected to be 100% on-site. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management More than 3 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer More than 5 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
