Job Summary:
The Technical Records Manager will help lead the ongoing growth and expansion of new program services into new markets for large/mid-tier leasing companies, airlines, and industry brokers. This role provides overall technical support as a member of our Team of technical records consultants who offer third-party services to our customer base. The Technical Records Manager will conduct comprehensive technical records audits and inspections on client assets to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness with contractual, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements. This role involves supporting airline fleet management through oversight of maintenance, records, and technical evaluations while achieving and maintaining TAGs core competencies. These competencies encompass expertise in advanced tools and templates, proficiency with various data platforms, and the ability to adapt to client-specific systems and processes. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for managing client relationships by addressing concerns, meeting requirements, and delivering high-quality services promptly. The position also emphasizes fostering growth and collaboration through effective communication, inter-department coordination, and alignment with customer expectations to drive ongoing business success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Head of Technical or the project manager
Perform technical records inspections and audits on client assets at various locations and across multiple data platforms.
Assist in records audits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with inspection reports and final deliverables to clients.
Conduct technical audits related to the birth trace of aircraft and engine records, parts, and accessory documentation. Identify and document discrepancies in accordance with client contracts, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Utilize predefined checklists, forms, and audit schedules to perform audit functions. Develop and maintain client-specific audit tools, including Open Item Lists and industry-standard reporting formats.
Support airline fleet management efforts across technical functions, including maintenance and engineering, records management, and technical evaluations.
Maintain core competency in the use of TAGs tools, templates, and client-specific systems.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables and respond to requests for clarification or documentation.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of records, products, and services to clients.
Support project teams on record-related initiatives such as engine shop visits, lease transitions, or purchase/sale events.
Qualifications / Requirements

BS or BA preferred, or equivalent industry experience in a technical or aviation-related field.
Minimum 15 years of aviation industry experience with an emphasis on airframe and engine technical records.
Familiarity with airline, MRO, or aircraft leasing environments.
Solid understanding of technical records compliance and auditing practices.
Fundamental knowledge of the US Code of Federal Regulations regarding aircraft records and operations and maintenance, as well as other foreign entities' regulations.
Fundamental knowledge of FAA Airworthiness Directives and manufacturer Service Bulletins, as well as technical publications that pertain to the specific project at hand.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Quantum or similar ERP systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A&P certification is a plus.
Quality Control and Quality assurance philosophy is a must.
Willingness to travel up to 35%.
