DevOps Engineer
to join our high-performing team on a dynamic program. In this role, the DevOps Engineer will work hands-on with cloud infrastructure, containerized platforms, and automation frameworks to enable scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of mission-critical systems. This position requires expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, automation tools and scripting, with the opportunity to support cutting-edge Big Data platforms. You will help architect, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for both cloud and on-premise systems, while championing reliability, repeatability, and performance. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure solutions in AWS, with a focus on Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes across development and production environments Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible Monitor and support Linux-based systems for availability and performance Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and improve release cycles using tools like Git, Flux, and Jenkins Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance Support deployment of portable edge-computing infrastructure to non-cloud (on-premise) environments Diagnose and resolve system issues across the stack, including networking, containers, and cloud services Participate in Agile development activities and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies, container orchestration strategies, and cloud capabilities
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Mid-level candidates: 3-8 years of relevant experience Senior-level candidates: 9-13 years of relevant experience SME-level candidates: 14+ years of relevant experience Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda Proficient in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting Proficient in scripting/programming abilities in Python, Bash, or Go Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC or configuration management tools Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and use tools such as JIRA and Confluence Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire Must be available to work on-site 4-5 days per week; flexibility is required to align with customer needs US citizenship and an active Secret clearance; will also accept TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Experience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc. Work could possibly require some on-call work.
