Manufacturing Engineer

Caterpillar is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Victoria, TX. In this role, you will provide the technical expertise necessary to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines within our excavation products. What you can look forward to in this role: Ensure proper functionality for excavation products within facility Provide design inputs for both production and prototype systems Take ownership of project plans, project scope, costing, execution Conduct regular updates and gate reviews to communicate and coordinate activities Validation of manufacturing systems using standardized methods Ensure common validation methods are used and carried forward into future solutions Work with vendors on new technology and manufacturing processes Implement new systems and technology Interface closely with other teams such as Fabrications, Product Design, Operations, Supply Chain A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in: Lean Manufacturing Manufacturing Processes Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies 3D Modeling & Printing Top candidates for this position may also have: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Manufacturing or Engineering field, or 3-5 years' experience manufacturing engineering-related experience dealing with prime product The ability to demonstrate initiative and work with diverse groups to reach consensus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as project management Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing Product structure layout and Bills of Materials Systems: Teamcenter Visualization, SAP, VPP, and HVC Additional Information: The primary location for this position is Victoria, TX. Domestic relocation assistance is not available Sponsorship is not available Summary Pay Range: $79,800.00 - $119,760.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
