Mechanical Design Engineer II for Transnorm Systems Inc. in Richardson, TX
Responsibilities
:
Responsible for technical documentation, part definition and support, drawing, component and system analysis; engineering assistance; writing specifications, cost estimation, and 3D modeling.
Generate new CADs and drawings for customer inquiries and new parts.
Design and develop new ideas of value engineering and component engineering for the purpose of saving costs.
Technical support for customers.
Responsible for design and implementation of mechanical parts, subassemblies, and product improvements.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of manufacturing design experience.
Full term of experience must include: CAD modelling; Machining Manufacturing; Lean principle project implementation; design experience; Microsoft Office; technical writing; measurement; testing; scientific principles of problem solving; fundamental physics; and governing principles background.
Must have 1 year of experience in sheet metal and textile Manufacturing.
Telecommuting permitted up to three (3) times per week.
