$31.15 - $42.04 / hour Summary
Responsible for directing the technical operations of the Lee Health Blood Center's mobile and fixed sites. Oversees apheresis procedures in acute care locations. Collaborates with the Laboratory Medical Director, Administrative Blood Center Director, System Director of Laboratory Services, and Laboratory Leadership Team to establish long-range goals and objectives to meet the blood product needs of patients and physicians. Implements plans and strategies to achieve these goals. Assesses the effectiveness of Blood Center services and programs to ensure high quality and cost-effectiveness. Ensures that services comply with FDA and AABB guidelines/standards. Represents the Blood Center to various publics. Requirements Education: Three or four years of formal education or training beyond high school, or a B.S. or B.A. degree required. Experience: Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience. Prior experience in a blood center required. Knowledge of apheresis procedures required. Certification: SBB (Specialist in Blood Banking) preferred. License: N/A Other: N/A
