Overview
We are seeking a high-impact leader to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) systems engineering team. In this role, you will be providing the full range of systems engineering support for the development and sustainment of the GMD weapons system. Due to the small team size and dynamic nature of the required support, this position requires a self-starter and solutions-focused person. The GMD systems engineering team has responsibility for systems engineering implementation across all the GMD components, so a broad understanding and experience with MDA / GMD SE processes is a must. The GMD systems engineering team is leading the digital acquisition approach for GM, so experience with digital engineering tools such as CAMEO is desired. Responsibilities
Provide the full range of systems engineering support for development and sustainment of the GMD weapons system. Contribute to the implementation of SE processes across GMD components. Support the teams digital acquisition approach and utilize digital engineering tools where applicable. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in a Technical STEM area and 20+ years of experience, or Masters degree and 12+ years of experience. 5 years of experience supporting MDA functional or project offices supporting requirements development, requirements verification, technical documentation progression (e.g., PDR/CDR Objective Evidence reviews), M&S planning, and/or test support Advanced analysis expertise with the ability to lead complex technical documentation reviews and assessments Executive level communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to senior leadership Proven experience in establishing, mentoring and driving systems engineering best practices across the organization Experience in integration of complex weapons systems Experience with implementing CAMEO for requirements development and traceability Benefits
